CarWidgets ("the app", "we") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the app uses and how.
CarWidgets does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, or contacts through the app, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
Your settings, car profiles, chosen sounds, saved places, and widget configurations are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, they are stored in your own private iCloud account. We do not have access to this data.
With your permission, CarWidgets uses your location to show live speed, range, and weather in Driving Mode and on your widgets, and to play a sound when you arrive at a place you've set. To get weather and speed-limit information for your area, your approximate location may be sent to mapping and weather data providers (such as Apple Weather and OpenStreetMap-based services). Location is used only for these features — never to track or profile you — and you can turn it off anytime in iOS Settings.
When you use "Create a sound", the text you type is sent to our AI sound provider, ElevenLabs, to generate the audio. Please don't include personal information in those prompts. ElevenLabs handles the request under its own privacy policy.
If you connect Apple Music or Spotify, those connections are managed by Apple and Spotify under their own terms and privacy policies. CarWidgets uses them only to show and control now-playing media.
CarWidgets Pro purchases are processed by Apple — we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to determine whether your subscription is active; RevenueCat receives an app-generated identifier and your transaction information for that purpose. See Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for details.
CarWidgets does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.
CarWidgets is not directed at children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
